Troposcatter transmission loss prediction based on particle swarm optimisation

Tropospheric scatter is a promising method for over-the-horizon propagation. Transmission loss caused by the three mainstream troposcatter mechanisms analysed, namely turbulent incoherent scattering theory, coherent reflection stable layers and irregular theory. Then an experiment conducted to explore relationships among mechanisms. Based on this experiment, transmission prediction model established in different climate zones particle swarm optimisation algorithm experimental data from global databank. The simulation shows that more effective than existing International Telecommunication Union-Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) P.617, P.452, P.2001. Furthermore, analysing training parameters' proportion of new zones, specific composition can be obtained.
